One of a handful of men’s soccer recruits to come to Monmouth College from Canada in the 1990s, Paul Evans knew a thing or two about goals.
Individually, he put 44 balls in the back of the net, a total that ranked second in the program’s history at the time of his induction. He added 11 assists to post a school-record 99 points, accomplishing the feat in just three seasons.
In terms of team goals, Evans also delivered, helping the Fighting Scots reach their program record of 10 victories during each campaign and qualify for the Midwest Conference playoffs in 1994. Through the 2011 season, the Scots had four 10-win seasons, three of those with Evans on the field.
The 6-foot-4 forward made the All-MWC first team in each of his three seasons, including his freshman year, when he produced a then-record 20 goals, including hat tricks against Knox and Cornell.
