Fox was a two-sport star at Monmouth College, and won the Most Outstanding Female Athlete Award in each of her four years. The righthanded hurler from Hamilton, Ill., led the Lady Scots to no worse than a second place finish in the Midwest Conference South Division in her career, topping the team in victories each season. She pitched the team to division titles in 1985 and 1987, and the Scots went on to capture the MWC crown in ’87. Her 36-22 pitching mark set a team record for career win-loss percentage (.621).

She completed all but one of the 52 games she started and garnered first team All-MWC honors in softball in 1986, 1987 and 1988. The eight-time letterwinner also achieved that honor on the volleyball court twice. She was MVP as a senior and the squad won two MWC South  Division titles.
