Monmouth College discontinued the men's and women's lacrosse programs on May 1, 2023
Monmouth sponsored men's women's lacrosse for seven seasons, with both teams starting competition in 2017 in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference/Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference. The Fighting Scots men's team qualified for the MLC Tournament in 2021 and knocked off Cornell in the semifinals before losing to UNW-Minnesota in the championship game.Â
Between the two teams, Monmouth had 25 all-conference, and 93 academic all-conference players in its history. The men's team received a defensive player of the year while the women's team had a co-freshman of the year.Â
Monmouth will continue to sponsor 20 sports: 10 women's and 10 men's.
