It can be said with a high degree of certainty that the Monmouth College football team’s outstanding offensive performances of the 1972 and 1973 seasons started with Grant Minor. The ’72 team was arguably the greatest gridiron squad ever assembled at Monmouth, and Minor was in the middle of it all, earning first team All-Midwest Conference selections both seasons as the offensive center. The 1973 football program touted Minor as “quick and aggressive, sound blocker … with a desire to excel.”

Minor was on the swim team for one season and also played three years of golf for the Scots from 1972-74. The ’74 squad went 19-0 in dual meets and placed third at the MWC meet.

Following graduation, Minor received a master’s degree from Vanderbilt University and worked as a financial analyst, including 11 years as a vice president at Goldman Sachs.
