From her outside hitter position, Chelsey Widdop was perfectly comfortable blasting kills, doing so 1,354 times in her brilliant collegiate volleyball career, a total that ranks third in the history of Monmouth College's program. But she was equally adept at saving would-be kills from hitting the floor, making 1,620 career digs, which also ranks third all-time. It's no wonder Widdop made the All-Midwest Conference team four times, including a trio of first-team honors. One of Monmouth's best-ever all-around players, Widdop is one of only two Fighting Scots in the top eight in both kills and digs, leading the team in the former category all four seasons and in digs twice. Widdop, who at the time of her induction also ranked fifth in career solo blocks and ninth in career sets played, helped Monmouth to a 20-win season and first-place league finish as a sophomore, a runner-up finish as a junior, and 19 more victories as a senior.
