Robb Long is the epitome of “student-athlete,” a person as successful in the classroom as he was on the fields of competition.

During his senior year, he was captain of the football, basketball and baseball teams. He was a four-year starter at quarterback, was twice named first-team All-Midwest Conference and led the league in passing in 1982. On the diamond, Long was an All-MWC outfielder and led the Scots to three MWC championships and two NCAA tournament appearances. In basketball, he helped the Scots win three MWC South Division championships. In all, he earned 12 varsity letters.

Long’s classroom accomplishments were just as impressive. He graduated with a 3.86 GPA and honors in economics. His scholar-athlete honors include being a Rhodes Scholar finalist and being named quarterback of the NCAA Division III Academic All-America football team.
