Owen Murray (Cedar City, Utah) was named the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. Murray scored four goals, including two game winners, as the Scots went 2-0 last week.
Murray scored both goals in a 2-1 road win at Eureka on Wednesday. His first goal made it 1-0 in the first half and after the Red Devils equalized, Murray scored moments later for the 2-1 lead. He then scored the first and third goals in a 3-0 home win over Buena Vista on Saturday. Murray is tied for first in the MWC with 2 game winning goals, tied for 2nd in total goals (4) and tied for fourth in points (8) on the season.
The Scots (2-2-1) head to St. Louis on Tuesday for a game against the University of Health, Sciences and Pharmacy. The next home game is the MWC opener against Beloit at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27.
