Monmouth was outshot nearly 3-to-1, but managed a double overtime tie at St. Norbert in the Midwest Conference opener for both teams.
 
The Green Knights scored in the first two minutes of the game and appeared headed for a shutout win until Alvaro Alvarez notched the tying goal – his fifth – with just over two minutes left in regulation. Kieren Marshall turned in a six-save effort, but only needed to make a pair of saves in OT as the defense limited St. Norbert's shots in the extra sessions. The Scots took only four shots, but landed three of them on frame to keep the pressure on and pick up playoff points.
 
The Scots travel to Beloit Sunday for a 1:30 contest.
