Chalk up another shutout for the Monmouth men's soccer team after Tuesday's 3-0 win over Coe to move to 5-3 on the season. Four of the Scots' five wins have come via a shutout.

Monmouth outshot the Kohawks 20-6, putting 10 shots on goal.
Nicolas Esparon netted the ice-breaker in the 19
th minute, taking a feed from
Cadan Glattback and finding the back of the net. Leading 1-0 in the waning minutes of the first half,
Martin Zafirov and
Reid Sondgeroth combined to feed
Alvaro Alvarez for his fourth goal of the season, giving the Scots a 2-0 advantage in the 42
nd minute. Zafirov added an insurance goal in the 78
th minute on a dish from
Roble Mohammed.
Marcos Garibay earned the win, stopping the four shots he faced to improve to 4-1 on the season.

It was the final match for the Scots before opening Midwest Conference play this weekend with a Saturday contest at St. Norbert and a Sunday affair at Beloit.
