Box Score 2 Monmouth banged out 32 hits and 26 runs in a 13-5, 13-3 doubleheader sweep of Iowa Wesleyan Tuesday night.

The Scots used a six-run third inning in the opener to set the tone early agaisnt the Tigers and piled on another four in the sixth.
Sean Davis got the runs started in the third, stroking a two-out single up the middle. Davis came home on
Tyler Ulfig's double and two batters later scored on
Campbell Quirk's two-run base hit. The Scots added insurance runs in the sixth courtesy of
Mike Dato's two-run homer and RBI singles by Ulfig and
Cameron Kellar. Mike Datlof picked up the win, scattering six hits and fanning four.

Brett Fordyce delivered the key stroke in the nightcap as the Scots took the lead with a three-run sixth. Fordyce drove in two with a base hit up the middle to score Dato and
Harry Sanchez for a 4-3 lead. The Scots added insurance runs in the seventh when
Matt Temaner scored on an error and Ulfig – who went 5-for-10 with five RBIs and four runs scored on the night – drove in two more runs with a base knock. The Scots iced the game with six more in the ninth.
A.J. Hatlestad picked up the win after five innings of work.
