The Monmouth College baseball team was honored Wednesday by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) with their eighth consecutive Team Academic Excellence Award. The 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Awards are presented by Sports Attack and teams are required to post a GPA of at least 3.0.
The baseball program also had 19 players earn Midwest Conference All-Academic selections last week while seniors
Clayton Matkovic (Sherrard, Illinois) and
Aidan Parkins (Monmouth, Illinois) were College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
The Scots qualified for the Midwest Conference Tournament for the second straight season and put four players on the All-Conference teams. Parkins was a First-Team selection while
Jace Wilkerson (East Peoria, Illinois),
Aiden Scott (Carrollton, Texas) and
Zach Almaguer (Monmouth, Illinois) were on the Second Team.
