Grant Miller turned in a 15-save effort, but Monmouth's offense managed only a single goal in a 14-1 loss Saturday afternoon at Augustana.
Â
Monmouth's starting goalkeeper stopped six first quarter shots, but found the Scots trailing 2-1 at the end of the first 15 minutes. Augustana, which held a 53-16 shot advantage, clicked for four goals in each of the final three quarters to defend their home field.
Chase Cranford scored the Scots' lone goal, an unassisted tally with 10:31 left in the first quarter.

The Scots move back into Midwest Lacrosse Conference action next Wednesday with an 8 p.m. game at Cornell before beginning a five-game home stand on April 6.
