Neither team could gain an edge in the longest men's lacrosse game in Monmouth's program history which turned into a 7-6 loss to the University of Dubuque in quadruple overtime.

Scots' goalkeeper Grant Miller turned aside 10 shots before the Spartans found the game-winner with seconds left in the fourth overtime period. Liam Meyer put Monmouth ahead 1-0 in the first quarter before Dubuque answered with three straight goals for a 3-1 lead early in the second quarter. Kyle Hatfield then knotted the game at 3-3 with back-to-back goals, his second with 28 seconds left in the first half. The teams traded goals in the second half as Chase Cranford's goal with 45 seconds left in regulation sent the game into OT tied at 6-all. Monmouth had control with 1:21 left in the fourth overtime, but turned the ball over 45 seconds later, giving Dubuque the chance for the game-winner with five seconds left.
