Monmouth stayed within a goal of unbeaten St. Norbert for more than 70 minutes before a late-game surge propelled the Green Knights past the Scots 4-0 Saturday afternoon at Peacock Park.

The Knights took a 1-0 lead on Anthony Masello's goal in the 29th minute, but the Scots' defense shut St. Norbert down for the next 40 minutes. St. Norbert broke through in the 73rd minute en route to netting three goals down the stretch to offset a seven-save effort by Scots' goalkeeper Cadan Glattback.

The Scots conclude the Midwest Conference doubleheader weekend with an 11 a.m. Sunday date with Beloit at Peacock Park.
