Monmouth scored three first half touchdowns en route to a 37-0 blanking of Macalester to win the battle of the Scots.

The Scots of Monmouth rolled to 405 yards of offense while holding Macalester's Scots to 263 yards, just 46 on the ground. Monmouth scored quickly, putting together a 77-yard drive on the first possession, capped by
DeAndre Wright's first of three TDs.
Hayden Nelson then hit
Yansay Williams with a 51-TD pass on the next possession to complete a 67-yard drive. Williams snared another throw from Nelson for another score just before halftime and finished with 98 receiving yards. Nelson completed 13 of 22 throws for 187 yards and the pair of TDs to Williams.

Clark Gaden led the defensive unit that totaled nine tackles for loss, three by
Thomas Lesniewski who also recorded a pair of sacks.

Monmouth travels to Lawrence next weekend for the final contest against the Midwest Conference North Division before opening the South Division schedule Oct. 8 with Grinnell.
