Box Score 2 Monmouth wrapped up the final game in the weekend's Midwest Conference Crossover Classic with a memorable 14-3 win over Lawrence after dropping a 10-5 decision to Beloit in Sunday's opener.

The Fighting Scots banged out a dozen hits and scored in all but one inning in the mercy rule win over Lawrence in the finale.
Christian Lett supplied the fireworks in Monmouth's five-run third, stroking a three-run homer from his nine spot in the order.
Grant Myers added a three-run blast of his own in the fifth as Monmouth lead 14-0 after five innings.
Connor McDonald worked six complete innings, scattering six hits and striking out six, all but one for the first five outs of the contest.

The win in the Crossover finale followed a loss to Ripon in which the Red Hawks broke the game open with a four-run sixth. Three hits in the frame gave Ripon a 6-1 lead, but Monmouth got two runs back in their half of the frame. Myers jacked his first of two homers in the game – three on the day – driving in a pair of runs to cut the deficit to 6-3. He added a solo shot in the eighth as he led off the inning. The Scots added another single run in the ninth, but could not make up the difference.

Monmouth returns to divisional play in the MWC with a Thursday road trip to Illinois College.
