Monmouth's win streak came to a close at rival Knox Monday afternoon, but the Scots still remained in contention for the Midwest Conference Tournament, holding onto fourth-place in the Midwest Conference with four games to play.
 
Scots' goalkeeper Cadan Glattback nearly survived a 10-shot first half barrage, but the Prairie Fire slipped one past the junior in the 40^th minute for a 1-0 halftime lead. Knox kept the pressure on in the second half, scoring four times in the final 45 minutes to down the Scots 5-1. The Scots avoided the shutout when Lucas Sondgeroth nailed Monmouth's lone goal in the final minutes, scoring off is own Penalty Kick rebound.
 
Monmouth continues their four-game road trip with a Saturday-Sunday doubleheader at Lake Forest and Lawrence.
