Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Connor McDonald tossed a seven-inning one-hitter as Monmouth's bats erupted in a 12-0 win over Knox before the Prairie Fire came back to earn a split with a 4-2 in Game 2 in the season finale for both teams.
 
The Scots and Fire were eliminated from Midwest Conference Championship contention before the early game was completed when Cornell clinched the final spot the tournament field with a win at Grinnell. That didn't deter Monmouth which banged out 13 hits – four from Ryan Sparks – and spotted McDonald to a 4-0 first inning lead. The Scots batted around in the third when Austin Hardy collected two of his team-high three RBIs and scored six runs as the Scots put runners on in all but one inning. After a two-on, two-out situation in the first inning, McDonald cruised, facing the minimum over the next six innings to earn his team-high fourth win while striking out eight and allowing just one hit.
 
The Prairie Fire won the Game 2 pitching duel when they scored single runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth. Knox took an early 1-0 lead in the first before Monmouth answered with a pair of runs in the third. Ryan Sparks' ground out plated Harry Sanchez and Bryson Sheppard's base hit scored Dayton Ince. The Fire took the lead in the seventh when their first three batters reached. Drake Sykes' base knock plated the go-ahead run as the Fire bullpen thwarted threats in the seventh and eighth.
 
Following the weekend doubleheader series, Monmouth and Knox tied for third in the South Division standings, one spot out of a postseason berth.
