Box Score Monmouth erupted for five, first inning runs and never looked back in a 15-3 win over Hilbert in Ft. Pierce, Fla.
Â
Ryan Sparks,
Grant Myers,
Jake Starkey and
Nic Stevens drove in three runs each to back starter
Connor McDonald who worked six innings giving up just two runs while striking out six. Sparks, who went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a three-run homer, set the tone early, leading off the bottom of the first with a double and then walked when the Scots batted around in the inning on their way to an 18-hit afternoon.
Â

Â

Corbin Holladay came from the bullpen to work the final three innings as Monmouth improved to 2-1 on the season.
Â
Monmouth will face Lebanon Valley in a Wednesday twinbill after an off day Tuesday.
