Box Score The Fighting Scots defense continues its dominance, as Monmouth rolls through Grinnell College 49-0.
In their third straight outing, the Scots held their opponent scoreless, this time with conference implications on the line.
Monmouth traveled to Grinnell, IA for their first South Region game in Midwest Conference play. After the first quarter, the teams remained tied 0-0. Then, in the second quarter the Scots offense came alive.
Junior running back Deandre Wright broke the dead lock just minutes into the second quarter, rushing for an eight yard touchdown. Wright would add three more rushing scores to his total, including one more in the first half, as he crossed the century mark in rushing yards for the game.

Yansay Williams for an eight yard touchdown snag. After being held scoreless through the first quarter, Monmouth would lead heading into the break 21-0.
The Scots defense held Grinnell to only 108 total yards of offense. Anchored by senior
Kyle Schultz's eight total tackles, the Scots would allow the Pioneers to move the chains only five times with a two third down conversions in 15 attempts.
Monmouth will head home to April Zorn Memorial Stadium for next week's contest against the Blue Boys of Illinois College.              Â
