Box Score Monmouth opened Midwest Conference play with a 28-0 win over Ripon Saturday at April Zorn Memorial Stadium, churning out 452 yards of offense and shutting out the Red Hawks for the first time since 1969.

Tanner Matlick hit
Brock Thoms with a 51-yard scoring strike on his way to a 215 yard passing day with three TDs. Less than two minutes after Thoms' TD,
Yansay Williams raced 35 yard with a Matlick throw to put the Scots up 14-0 with 5:52 left in the first quarter.

Konnor O'Keefe with less than a minute left in the first half to give Monmouth a three touchdown lead at intermission.
DeAndre Wright's 28-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter ended the scoring as Monmouth's defense held the Red Hawks to just 238 yards of offense.

Matt Barnes recorded his third straight game with double-digit tackles, making 11 stops which included a pair of sacks.
