Box Score 2 Monmouth sent their seniors off with a win on Senior Day at Glasgow Field Sunday, earning a split with Illinois College. After dropping the opener 10-3 to the Blue Boys, the Scots came back with a 4-2 win in the nightcap.

Brandon Harroun threw seven strong innings in the Game 2 win, fanning five and scattering five hits. Harroun got offensive support from designated hitter
Austin Hardy who picked up three hits in the game, coming just a homerun shy of hitting for the cycle while driving in two runs. After scoring an unearned run in the first inning, the Scots added two in the third for all the runs Harroun would need. Hardy's triple in the inning scored
Jake Starkey for a 2-0 lead and Hardy then scored on an IC error for the eventual winning run.
Ryan Sparks knocked in an insurance run in the fourth with a double to left center. Sparks took the mound in the eighth and worked two scoreless innings to earn the save, his third of the year.

The Blue Boys used a trio of three-run innings to take the opener. The big blow, a three-run homer in the seventh gave IC a 7-1 lead. Monmouth came back with two runs in the seventh, but could get no closer.

The Fighting Scots wrap up the season Tuesday with a single game at Illinois Wesleyan.
