Tyler McDonald his third win of the season.
Â

Austin Hardy and
Nic Stevens drove in two runs each. Monmouth used a big inning early to set the tone, pushing five runs across the plate to take a 5-2 lead.

Â
Monmouth had a quick answer, scoring three runs of their own in the top of the sixth with two out. After
Bryson Sheppard opened the inning with a double and sacrificed to third,
Ryan Sparks milked a two-out walk to set up
Jake Starkey's run-scoring double for a 10-9 lead. Hardy then delivered his two-run, two-out double for the 12-9 win.
Â
The Scots will host the Blue Boys on Sunday in Monmouth's home season finale. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but the forecast for rain Saturday caused the game to be pushed back a day.
