Box Score Monmouth banged out 20 hits as Ryan Sparks and Austin Hardy each came within a triple of hitting for the cycle in Wednesday's 14-7 win over Robert Morris (Springfield).
 
The Scots fell behind 6-1 early, but responded with a six-run third inning ignited by Hardy's leadoff homer, the first of three extra base hits in the frame. Bryson Sheppard and Brandon Harroun added two RBIS each in the inning as Monmouth batted around.
 
A five-run fourth followed as Sparks drilled three-run homer to left center with two out before Hardy plated another run driving in Jake Starkey for a 12-6 lead.
 
Sparks and Hardy combined to go 8-for12 with six RBIs and two homeruns while Sheppard went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and two runs scored. Asa Stevenson notched  the win in relief as the Scots used a bullpen-by-committee approach in the nonconference game.
