BULLPEN TURNS IN SOLID EFFORT IN TWINBILL

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The key hits were missing in Monmouth 6-0, 3-0 loss at Grinnell Saturday afternoon.
 
Grinnell jumped on the Scots for four, first inning runs in the opener before Connor McDonald came from the bullpen to close the threat. The freshman worked seven full innings, allowing just two runs while scattering four hits.
 
The Scots outhit the Pioneers 8-7 in Game 2 as Ryan Sparks and Harry Sanchez each posted a pair of hits, but the Scots couldn't come up with the key hit leaving 12 runners on. Brandon Harroun was saddled with the loss, allowing a solo run in the third and two more scores in the fifth before handing the ball to Ridge Greenman in the sixth. Greenman kept the Pioneers hitless over the final three innings.
