Box Score Brandon Harroun worked eight solid innings on the mound as Monmouth evened their Florida record to 2-2 with an 8-5 win over Bridgewater State University Monday afternoon.
 
The Scots gave Harroun plenty of support, jumping out to a 6-1 lead through the first three innings. Ryan Sparks knocked in a pair of runs with a two-out base hit in a three-run second. Zach VanWassenhove added to the tallies with a two-run homer in the third after a run-scoring double in the second.
 
Bryson Sheppard opened the fifth by launching a solo homer for his second extra base hit of the day to give the Scots a 7-2 lead. Matt Mullen closed the Monmouth scoring with an RBI single in the seventh to plate Sparks with his second run of the afternoon.
 
Monmouth banged out a Florida-high 11 hits in the game to back Harroun who scattered seven hits before giving the ball to Asa Stevenson in the ninth. Harroun fanned four and walked two while recording 12 consecutive batters.
