Box Score Dayton Ince drove in the only run Logan Spangler would need to propel Monmouth to a 1-0 road win at Robert Morris (Springfield) Thursday afternoon.
 
Spangler carried a perfect game into the fifth and got the needed run support in the fourth when Ince delivered a two-out RBI hit, driving in Bryson Sheppard. Sheppard  delivered a one-out double to set the stage for Ince's game-winning hit.
 
Leading 1-0 in the eight, the Scots went to the bullpen for Ridge Greenman when the Eagles put a pair of runner on with two outs. Greenman then induced a pop up on the infield and worked out of a two-on, one-out jam in the bottom of the ninth to earn his second save.
 
Spangler logged win No. 2, tossing 7-1/3 innings of three-hit ball while striking out five, including three consecutive batters after the Eagles broke up his perfect game in the fifth.
