Monmouth and Coe combined for 27 hits off of 11 pitchers in an early week nonconference affair won by the Kohawks 19-6.

Leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Coe's Jack Hoffmann launched a grand slam, his first of two homers on the day. The Scots countered in the bottom of the frame when
Nic Stevens drew a leadoff walk and
Brandon Harroun followed with single up the middle.
Ryan Sparks then collected his first of two hits on the day, stroking a two-run double to left to close the gap to 5-2. After Sparks moved to third on
Alex Kemmer's single,
Jesse Brucker plated Sparks with a sac fly to center to round out the scoring in the inning.

The Kohawks answered, batting around in the fourth and fifth, plating four runs in the fourth. A.J. Rueter ripped a three-run homer for Coe in the fifth and Hoffman's second homer followed when the Kohawks scored six unearned runs.

Monmouth put their first three batters on in the sixth and scored all three, but then left the bases loaded when a pair of fly outs ended the inning.

Sparks paced Monmouth's offense with a two hit, three RBI day.
