Box Score Lucas Giertz stroked a one-out single in the bottom of the 10
th to give Monmouth a 7-6 win over Robert Morris (Springfield) on a windy afternoon at Glasgow Field.

Tied at 6-6 in the bottom of the 10
th with one out, the Scots put their next two batters on. A base hit by
Blake Abbott was followed by
Raahsaan Fox getting plunked by a pitch to bring up Giertz with a runner in scoring position. Giertz picked up his first hit of the game with a slicing liner to right, scoring Abbott with the game-winner from second base. The victory pushed the Scots' win streak to a season-high four games.

The Scots had taken a 3-0 lead after
Ryan Sparks scored pair of runs in the first three innings, but the Eagles countered with a four-run fourth to take a 4-3 lead. Monmouth got one run back in the sixth, but found themselves trailing 6-4 In the bottom of the ninth with two outs. Sparks kept the inning alive with his third hit of the game, an error on
Alex Kemmer's fly ball ensued allowing
Jesse Brucker to tie the game with a two-out, two run double.

Alex Temple retired the Eagles in order in the 10
th to earn the win. He worked 2.2 innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out four.
