Box Score 2 A day after sweeping rival Knox, the tables were turned on Monmouth when the Scots dropped both ends of the Sunday doubleheader at Glasgow Field 13-11 and 5-3.

The teams combined for 34 hits in Game 1 as Knox posted a five-run first. Trailing 6-3 in the third,
Blake Abbott stroked a two-run single to pull the Scots within one. Monmouth then knotted the game at 6-6 when
Brandon Harroun's ground out palted
Chase Bair. The Scots took an 8-7 lead in the sixth, driving in three runs with two outs.

Knox countered in the sixth with four runs and added a pair of insurance runs in the seventh to win the slugfest.

Blake Abbott each picked up three hits in the game as Harroun was tagged for the loss in relief.

Ryan Sparks threw seven strong innings in the nightcap, but was handed the loss when the Prairie Fire scored four runs in the first three innings. After two runs in the third inning, Sparks settle in retiring the next 10 batters. The Scots rallied with solo runs in the first and third innings, but left the bases loaded in the seventh and eighth.
