Bats quiet in final Florida loss

Box Score Monmouth was missing the key hit in a 6-1 loss to Haverford in Ft. Myers, Fla.
 
The Scots were touched for three runs in the fourth inning on their final day in the sunshine state and that proved to be the difference. Haverford took advantage of back-to-back walks to open the big inning. They added two more in the top of the ninth before the Scots could push a run across.
 
Raahsaan Fox provided Monmouth's offense in the game, stroking a one-out solo homer in the bottom of the ninth. Chase Bair followed with a walk and Ryan Sparks kept the inning alive with a two-out double, moving Bair to third. the Scots' hopes then ended on a groundout to end the game.
