Box Score For the 17^th consecutive year there will be turkey on the Monmouth College table. The Fighting Scots rolled up more than 500 yards of offense in a 49-7 win over Knox in the annual Battle for the Bronze Turkey.
 
Monmouth improved their record in the 127^th meeting of the teams to 67-50-10 after freshman DeAndre Wright rambled his way to 158 yards with two touchdowns on just eight carries.
 
The teams traded scores in the first quarter before the Scots erupted for 35 points in the second and third quarters. Following Adam Parr's 45-yard TD reception to open the scoring, the Scots went to the air again when Tanner Matlick found Easton Schaber for a five-yard scoring pass to break a 7-7 tie in the second quarter. Matlick then scored on a quarterback keeper on the Scots' next possession to open the flood gates and finished the day passing for 206 yards and three TDs.
 
Wright scored both of his touchdowns with long runs in the second half, a 75-yarder on the first play from scrimmage in the second half and a 38-yard score with 1:50 left in the third quarter to give the Scots a 42-7 advantage.
 
Led by Matt Barnes' 10 tackles, Monmouth's defense held the Prairie Fire to just 216 yards, 83 on the ground.
