The teams traded scores in the first quarter before the Scots erupted for 35 points in the second and third quarters. Following
Adam Parr's 45-yard TD reception to open the scoring, the Scots went to the air again when
Tanner Matlick found
Easton Schaber for a five-yard scoring pass to break a 7-7 tie in the second quarter. Matlick then scored on a quarterback keeper on the Scots' next possession to open the flood gates and finished the day passing for 206 yards and three TDs.
Wright scored both of his touchdowns with long runs in the second half, a 75-yarder on the first play from scrimmage in the second half and a 38-yard score with 1:50 left in the third quarter to give the Scots a 42-7 advantage.
