Box Score Monmouth came back from an early deficit, but a late goal dealt the Scots a 2-1 defeat at the hands of North Park University.
 
Meeting for just the second time in program history, the outcome and score was the same as a year ago. The Vikings scored in the sixth minute, but Monmouth evened the score at 1-1 when Emily Flint knocked in a goal after a scramble on a corner kick in the 33^rd minute. The teams played even until the Vikings ended a breakaway with the game-winning goal in the 69^th minute.
 
Monmouth will open Midwest Conference play Saturday and Sunday with a road trip to St. Norbert and Ripon.
