Box Score Austin Hardy pitched 5.2 solid innings in his college debut, but was victimized by a pair of sixth inning errors in a 7-3 Scots' loss in the season opener.

Leading 3-1 going into the top of the sixth, the Scots surrendered three runs with the aid of two errors. Jesse Brucker's double had given the Scots a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth. They tacked on another in the fifth when Ryan Crandall scored on a Kenyon error.

Kenyon answered with three runs in the sixth, two more in teh seventh and a single tally in the eighth.

Hardy was saddled with the loss after allowing four runs - one earned - on eight hits. He walked on and fanned five. Zach McCrery, Matt Glenn and Blake Abbott picked up two hits each.
