Box Score Monmouth outhit Skidmore, but came up short in an 8-4 final in Ft. Myers, Fla.



Skidmore roughed up the Scots despite being outhit 11-8. A walk, two hit batsmen and an error in the fifth allowed Skidmore to break open what had been a 2-0 lead.



Blake Abbott led Monmouth with a 4-for-5 effort at the plate.



Asa Stevenson suffered the loss, allowing just a pair of earned runs in 4.2 innings of work.
