Box Score Michael Buehne rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns as Monmouth celebrating Homecoming with a 40-7 win over Beloit.
 
The Fighting Scots scored on their first two possessions and never looked back as Buehne scampered 44 yards for the first touchdown of the day to complete a 78-yard drive. Buehne finished the Scots' next possession with a three yard run that capped an 80-yard drive.
 
Monmouth's defense swarmed the Bucs, holding Beloit to just 135 yards – only 53 on the ground – and recording five sacks on the day, including one in the end zone by Michael Smith for a safety late in the first half. Another Buehne TD – this one on a 34-yard run made it 23-0 at halftime.
 
Buehne's final score came on a three-play drive that covered 62 yards and took just 61 seconds.
 
Beloit scored their lone points on a fumble recovery – one of three Monmouth fumbles on the day – and raced 88 yards for their score.
 
Monmouth outgained Beloit 490-135.
