Bell earns 100th win in blowout over Beloit

Box Score Trey Yocum had 184 rushing yards and three TDs by halftime as Monmouth posted a 59-14 win over Beloit, earning Steve Bell his 100th career win.

The Fighting Scots scored on six of their first seven possessions while the defense limited Beloit to just 50 first-half yards. Monmouth outgained the Bucs 506-248 despite a seven minute Beloit edge in Time of Possession.

Yocum scampered 22 yards for his first score on the Scots' first possession for quick 7-0 Monmouth lead. Beloit then held the Scots on downs on Monmouth's next possession before the Scots string of five straight scores.

Leading 42-0 with 2:26 left in the first half, Monmouth regained possession after the defense held Beloit to a three-and-out. Brik Wedekind then completed three-of-four passes, hitting Austin Peterson for a seven-yard score with six seconds left in the half. The PAT by Ace Henricks gave Monmouth a 49-0 halftime lead.

Beloit scored a pair of fourth quarter TDs on a pair of 73-yard drives.

Yocum finished with 194 yards for the Scots on 21 carries while Wedekind completed 14 of 24 passes for 231 yards and three scores, hitting freshman Cole Krynicki with five throws for 123 yards and a TD.
