Box Score Monmouth scored three times in the ninth inning to hold off Rockford in a 12-10 slugfest in Ft. Myers, Fla.

The Scots jumped on top with a four-run third thanks in part to Ryan Crandall and Matt Glenn who each rocked two-run homers in the inning. Monmouth added two more in the fifth to back Brik Wedekind who was cruising through the first four innings.

A Rockford rally in the bottom of the fifth plated four and another four-spot in the seventh tied it at 8-8. Glenn reached to open the eighth after getting hit by a pitch and then later scored on a Rockford error. An RBI by Glenn in the ninth and a two-run single by Andrew Baudino spotted the Scots a 12-8 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth as Brandon Harroun got the final two outs to earn the save, giving Logan VanDeWostine the win.
