Scots win 15th straight Bronze Turkey Bowl as Yocum breaks record

Box Score Trey Yocum became Monmouth's single-season rushing leader as the Scots defeated Knox 37-10 to take the Bronze Turkey Bowl for the 15th straight year.

Yocum rambled for 247 yards and two touchdowns to finish the season with 1,590 rushing yards, breaking the previous mark set of 1,557 set by Dante Daniels in 2006.The seniors second TD - a 50-yard run - came on the Scots first possession of the second half and gave Monmouth a 28-0 lead.

Austin Peterson opened the scoring, hauling in a Tanner Matlick pass to give the Scots a 7-0 first quarter lead. It was the first of two TDs by Peterson on the day as he caught eight passes for 89 yards.

Monmouth outgained the Prairie Fire 584-315 as Branson Cain led the defense with 11 tackles (10 solos).

The Scots now lead the series which began in 1888 65-50-10.
