Box Score Monmouth set the tone early in a 6-1 win over Iowa Wesleyan.
The Scots’ Lauren Kellen scored her first of two goals in the first 19 seconds, taking a feed from Alex Ivie and Cami San German. Kellen added another tally – her fourth of the season – in the sixth minute heading in a pass from Ashley Reynoso to put the Scots up 2-0. Megan Snodsmith scored her first goal 10 minutes later, taking a rebound and depositing it in the back of the net. She added another goal in the second half.
The Scots brought the offense and the defense, firing 35 shots and placing 21 of those on goal while holding the Tigers to just six shots.
