Box Score For the second straight week, Monmouth College threatened their own school record, this time in a 56-0 shutout of Lawrence. The Fighting Scots’ offense rolled up 682 yards of offense, just 16 yards shy of the all-time record as Monmouth’s balanced attack accrued 324 rushing yards and 369 passing yards. Trey Yocum’s first of three touchdowns. Four minutes later,

Alex Tanney pass for a three-yard TD.
Nick Law got into the act with a seven-yard TD scamper to give the Scots a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter. The Scots’ ground game was highlighted by Yocum who turned in a career-best 166 yards on the ground with three touchdowns, a week after churning out a then-lifetime best 165 yards.
Mike Blodgett put up a career-high 202 receiving yards to move within 100 yards of the Scots’ career record of 2,785 yards set by Matt Shepherd from 2008-10. Tanney turned in his second straight 300-plus passing yards game, connecting on 25-of-30 attempts for 371 yards and three TDs. Freshman linebacker
