Kaylee (Woodard) Simpson returned to her alma mater as a volleyball assistant coach in August 2023. After graduating from Monmouth in May 2022 with a degree in psychology, Woodard coached at Macomb High School and also coached 16u and 18u club volleyball teams in Macomb. 

Woodard was the 2021 Midwest Conference Newcomer of the Year and the Monmouth College Breakthrough Athlete of the Year for the 2021-22 academic year. During the 2021 season she led the MWC with 597 digs at 6.15 per set and finished fourth nationally among all D3 players in digs per set. The digs per set ranks 2nd in Monmouth history and the total digs ranks fifth. Woodard was named the MWC Defensive Player of the Week three times during the 2021 season while also making All-Tournament teams at both the Central College Invite and the Illinois College Invite. Woodard's efforts helped the Scots fo a fourth place finish in the MWC and their first trip to the MWC Tournament in nine years.

Before transferring to Monmouth, Woodard played two years at Western Illinois University. She was also a four-year starter at Monmouth-Roseville High School. A native of Monmouth, Kaylee's father Brian is the Monmouth College track & field head coach and her mother Christy (Hickey) is in the Monmouth College M Club Hall of Fame as a track and field sprinter. 

Woodard currently resides in Macomb where she works as an agent representative for Tom Conklin State Farm.
