Jordan Coates

Jordan Coates joined the Fighting Scots' coaching staff for the 2020 season and brought NCAA Division II experience with him. The team immediately responded with a program-record four-game win streak to open the season before the COVID-19 pandemic ended the season after just six games.

A midfielder for Shorter University in his playing days, Coates had a stellar junior season when he led the Hawks in goals (22), assists (6) and points (28) while sporting a .660 shot-on-goal percentage. Coates capped his collegiate career that season by earning Great Lake Valley Conference all-conference honors.

Coates graduated from Shorter in 2018 with degrees in history and political science. The Perry Hall, Md., native has prior coaching experience with the Ground Control Lacrosse Club based in Baltimore, Md.
