Prior to Monmouth: All conference and all metro teams in high school basketball and baseball. One year of baseball played at Black Hawk College and was Academic All Conference there as well.

Parents: Heather and Craig Schimmel
Personal: Dad was an all American baseball player at St Ambrose and Black Hawk College. Mom graduated from the University of Iowa with a Psychology degree.
