Jeff McChristy, a 2020 Monmouth graduate, was hired as the Director of Intramurals and Recreation in August 2026. McChristy is also assisting in the Sports Information Department and remains on the men's basketball staff as an assistant coach.
McChristy has worked as an assistant coach for the men's basketball team since the 2021-22 season. During that time the Scots have made the MWC Tournament three times, reaching the title game in 2026. They also claimed the 2025-26 MWC Regular Season title and won 14 MWC games in both 2024-25 and 2025-26.Â
A native of Taylorville, Illinois, McChristy played two seasons at Monmouth after two seasons at Lincoln Land Community College. As a senior in 2019-20, McChristy played in seven games for the Scots, logging 25 minutes. He scored his first career basket on February 22, 2020 at St. Norbert. McChristy logged two rebounds, both at Knox on February 12 and he played a career-high eight minutes on February 15 against Ripon. In the 2018-19 season at Monmouth, McChristy played in three games.
McChristy was a student assistant coach for the Scots volleyball team in 2019. he currently resides in Galesburg.
