The Monmouth College men's soccer team lost a non-conference game 3-0 at Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday. The Fighting Scots (2-3-1) have one non-conference game left on the schedule  before opening Midwest Conference play next Saturday.

Neither team scored in the first 39 minutes before IWU won a penalty They converted the spot kick in the 40th minute and took a 1-0 lead into halftime. 

The Titans netted in the 77th and 84th minute to finish the scoring. Monmouth goalkeeper Alejandro Zamarripa (El Paso, Texas) made a season and career-high eight saves in the game

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: Treyton Yi (Streamwood, Illinois) played all 90 minutes for the sixth straight game…Zamarripa and Ramon Aguilar (St. Louis, Missouri) also played all 90 minutes …Monmouth was outshot 27-6…Omar Portillo (El Paso, Texas) had two shots on goal for the Scots while Parker Davis (Burlington, Iowa) had one …The Scots play home next Wednesday against Millikin.
