The Monmouth College men's soccer team had their season opener canceled by Principia on Friday night due to thunderstorms and lightning. The game is not expected to be made up. 

The Scots are in action Sunday at Buena Vista in Storm Lake, Iowa. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. and the women's game will follow. The Monmouth home opener is Thursday, Sept. 12 against UW-Stevens Point
