The Monmouth College men's tennis team lost their final road match of the season 8-1 at Illinois College on Wednesday. The Scots will finish the regular season at home on Saturday with matches against both Grinnell College (9 a.m.) and Cornell College (2:30 p.m.).
Playing at No. 1 doubles, 
Sawyer Day (Cupertino, California) and Nick Robertson (Covington, Georgia) lost 8-5. At No. 2 doubles, Macaiden Sepich (Mackinaw, Illinois) and 
Andrew Nickols (Janesivlle, Wisconsin) also fell 8-5. The Scots do not field a No.3  doubles team. 
At No. 1 singles, Day lost 6-3, 6-2 and Robertson lost 7-5, 6-3 at No. 2. 
Spencer Corn (Kansas City, Missouri) fell at No. 3 6-0, 6-1 and Nickols lost at No. 4 singles 6-2, 7-6 (4). 
Monmouth's win came at No. 5 singles as freshman Macaiden Sepich (Mackinaw, Illinois) won 6-2, 7-5. The win was the first of his college career.
