Box Score The Monmouth College women's lacrosse team played their first of two scheduled games this week and lost at Augustana College 18-1 on Wednesday night. 

Elizabeth Schmidt (Waverly, Iowa) scored her team-leading third goal of the season in the first quarter to tie the game 1-1. Schmidt has scored in all three of Monmouth's games this season. 

Augustana led 3-1 after the first quarter and 10-1 at halftime. They scored four goals in each of the last two quarters. 

Anna Davison (Davenport, Iowa) led the Scots with five ground balls and Tori Cook (Joliet, Illinois) led with five caused turnovers. Goalkeeper Lea Selquist (Peru, Illinois) made 14 saves. for the Scots. 

Monmouth is next in action at home on Saturday with a 1 p.m. game against Illinois Tech.
