The Monmouth College golf teams participated in the Midwest Region Classic on Sunday and Monday. The two-day, two-round event was hosted by Benedictine University at the Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Wisconsin. The Monmouth men finished 24th out of 27 teams and the women didn't post a team score.
On the men's side,
Ryan Prusak (Oswego, Illinois) had the best Monmouth finish. He shot a 79 on Sunday and a 78 on Monday for a total of 157 and a tie for 42nd.
Briggs Bossert (Evanston, Illinois) shot 87-83-170 to tie for 113th and DJ Reading (Monmouth, Illinois) shot 83-88-171 to tie for 117th.
Noah Shields (Rantoul, Illinois) was 97-80-177 to tie for 130th and
Grant Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) was 96-87-183 to tie for 139th.
On the women's side,
Amanda Stevens (Mason City, Illinois) led the way with a 92-104-196 to finish in 83rd place.
Sarah Saddoris (Port Byron, Illinois) shot 106-116-222 to finish tied for 102nd.
Annalyn Lovell (Oneida, Illinois) shot 142-135-277 to tie for 11th.
Both teams will participate in the Iowa Wesleyan Tiger Classic on Thursday. The event will take place at Burlington Golf Club in Burlington, Iowa.
